5 ways to transform your homes exterior

In a competitive housing market the way you present your home’s exterior to maximise your ‘curb appeal’ has never been more important. Here at Yorkshire based Clear View we have come up with five ways to transform your home’s exterior and make it stand out of the crowd.

Doors

You front door is the focal point of your home and the first thing a guest sees on entering- so make sure you make an impact. Try a statement bold colour that makes it stand out of the crowd. Or you could opt for an aluminium front door as the increased strength will allow you to have a larger glass pane in your door without compromising on security, giving you a uniquely different entrance way. It’s not all about the front door however, recent surveys suggest that a feature such as a bi-folding door can significantly increase the value of your home by seamlessly blending your indoor and outdoor space.

Windows

Create a uniform look for your house with matching windows. Aluminium windows are a sleek, aesthetically beautiful option that are available in hundreds of colours, so you can make sure that they match up perfectly with the rest of your home’s exterior.

Façade

If the façade of your property is unkempt with out-of-date stone cladding or mismatching bricks, why not remove or re-cover to completely transform the look of your home. Why not try modern cladding options such as render, New England- style timber boarding, hung tiles or brick slips.

Garage

Your garage door takes up on average a third of your homes exterior so make sure you are not neglecting it. A fresh coat of paint may be it all it needs to dramatically spruce up your home. Make sure you choose a colour that will complement the rest of the property. Try and avoid bold colours, you don’t want your garage door to be the focal point, so try not to distract too much attention.

Roof

Try replacing old and sun-faded concrete roof tiles to give your home a new lease of life. Even a simple pressure-washing of a moss covered roof can completely transform the area, and therefore your home’s exterior.

If you want to transform your home’s exterior with bespoke aluminium windows and doors get in touch with the team at Clear View on 0800 1357167.
