Decisions and Questions

When deciding to change the doors in your living area, there are many things to consider. When deciding whether to choose sliding or bi-folding doors there are even more. Here at Clearview, we have been putting people’s minds at ease for a number of years by answering many of those difficult questions.

The answers to almost any question you could think of asking can be found in our FAQ’s section, but here we are going to look at a few in some more depth to make your choice a bit easier. From bi-folding to sliding doors, we want you to be fitted with the perfect door for your requirements. Below are some of the top questions we get asked:

Is it better to have a bi-folding door or sliding doors?

We believe that this depends on the look and feel you are looking to achieve. If you want large amounts of open space when you open up a door, then bi-folding doors which move in a concertina effect are the best option. However, if you have a large opening where the doors will not be opened all the time, sliding doors could be the best option, with glass panels able to be made much larger, meaning the total door has more glass. With this question, it is beneficial to think about the use of the door as well as the space is could create.

How secure will the doors be?

At Clearview our doors use the latest technology with multi-locking systems making our aluminium doors one of the most secure on the market. All our doors are manufactured to the current industry safety standards and have been police checked for security. We understand that families occasionally have reservations about this because of the large amounts of glass but with aluminium frames and multi locking locks, they are extremely secure.

My opening is not a standard size?

We have never had a job where the design of one of our windows or doors has been the same as anywhere else. What we mean by this is that no window or door is a standard size. Because we carry out a detailed measurement process and manufacture all our windows and doors in-house, we are able to make products to the exact measurements you require, including bespoke design. This can give you the best use of space and make your room appear much bigger.

These are just a few questions we get asked when people are deciding to buy doors or windows from ourselves. For more information on any of the products available, please contact our team on 0800 1357167. Aluminium doors are the leaders in security and can withstand the harshest of weather so if you are interested in sliding or bi-folding doors, consider Clearview.
