It’s nearly that time of year again! The annual Holmfirth Duck Race and Clearview were proud to be involved with helping to get everything set up. How did they help, you ask? Their team offered to host the annual duck numbering evening – a mammoth task involving the numbering of 7000 ducks ahead of the big day. Round table members were joined by family and friends to complete the task in preparation for the race.
What is the Holmfirth Duck Race?
The Holmfirth Duck Race can trace its origins back to 1983, with the first official gathering that would go on to become a much-loved phenomenon. Organised and hosted by Huddersfield and District Roundtable, this beloved event is a fantastic day out for all the family to enjoy with great prizes to be won. To be within a chance of winning one of the individual prices worth up to £1000, all you have to do is purchase a ticket.
Street teams will be out in force in the weeks leading up to the event which is due to take place on Sunday 7th July. They will be selling tickets while taking everyone’s favourite fluffy duck, Quackers, for a morning stroll. Funds raised from ticket sales will be put towards some great local causes. So you’ll get to enjoy some light entertainment and be within a chance of winning a great prize, all while helping to raise money for some worthwhile endeavours.
The team at Clearview are happy to be involved and wish all quackers and backers the best of luck!
