Clearview suppliers Smart Architectural Aluminium have announced that they plan to develop a third major site within the last decade.
The Managing Director Eddie Robinson confirmed it in an interview with the BBC last month saying: “On the back of a sustained period of growth, this planned expansion will add around fifty percent to our overall manufacturing capacity through the installation of a third aluminium extrusion press and second paint line. Power for the plant will be generated by an on-site wind turbine, the supply of renewable energy being a critical factor in our drive to become a carbon neutral manufacturer.”
“Once complete, the new development will also effectively double the number of permanent staff on site in Yatton, with our workforce increasing to around 400 skilled staff. We have worked extremely closely both with North Somerset Council’s Economic Development team and our local councillors in the development of these plans and we’re now looking forward to bringing them to fruition and to delivering these new jobs to the region”.
